As a condition of employment, you must have and maintain the legal right to work in Australia.
Before commencing employment, you must provide proof of date of birth and evidence of your right to work in Australia. Accepted documents include:
- Australian Birth Certificate
- Australian Citizenship Certificate
- Australian or New Zealand Passport
- Evidence of Permanent Residence
- Certificate of Status for New Zealand Citizens in Australia and photo ID
- Valid visa with permission to work
If your right to work in Australia changes or is revoked during employment, you must immediately notify the employer.
Continued employment depends on maintaining valid work rights, and failure to do so may result in termination.
